Jean J. Chatham, MD FACC is recognized as one of the top cardiologists in Arizona. Phoenix Magazine has rated Dr. Jean Chatham among its list of TOP DOCS in greater Phoenix. He joined his father, Dr. Joseph Chatham, in 2003. Following undergraduate education at the University of Arizona, he completed medical school at Tufts University in Boston. He completed internal medicine residency at the University of Virginia. Cardiology Fellowship was completed at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He dedicated a full year of additional training in cardiac and peripheral interventions at Tufts University/ New England Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Jean Chatham is board certified in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. Well versed in diagnostic cardiology, he is trained in echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiograms, tilt table testing, CT angiography and holds advanced certification in Nuclear Cardiology. He is qualified in the management of permanent pacemakers and Implantable Loop Recorders. Dr. Jean Chatham is one of the few doctors in the East Valley to perform Carotid Stenting. As director of the Adult Echocardiography Laboratory at Banner Baywood Medical Center, he has elevated the lab to new heights.

Joseph L. Chatham, MD FACC is one of the most senior cardiologists in the East Valley. He began his cardiology practice in Mesa, Arizona in 1981. One of the first cardiologists in the East Valley to perform coronary interventions and advanced echocardiography with transesophageal echocardiograms, he continues to be a leader in cardiology. Dr. Chatham has been elected chief of staff at a number of hospitals, including Banner Heart Hospital. He served as head of cardiology services on multiple occasions at different hospitals. These roles speak of his superb clinical skills and well-earned esteem. His infectious laugh and his caring nature endear him to patients. Patients repeatedly comment on how Dr. Joe has gotten them through some tough spots. Spouses remember “that little man making a big difference.” Educated at one of the best medical schools in Kerala, India, he received his advanced cardiology training in New York and Philadelphia. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Medicine, and holds certification in Interventional Cardiology.

Dana Sanders, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, joined Chatham Heart Center in 2016. She has over 14 years of experience in the cardiac catheterization laboratory as a cardiovascular nurse and educator. Dana received both her Bachelor of Science in nursing as well as her Master of Science in nursing from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. She holds certifications in Cardiac Vascular Nursing and is an instructor for both Basic Life Support as well as Advanced Cardiac Life Support for American Heart Association. Dana is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), as well as the American Nurses Association (ANA). She is an integral part of CHC in providing a comprehensive approach to cardiovascular care. She believes education is a key component to achieving optimal cardiac health.
